More than anything, we are inventors. With over 150 patents under our belts (and counting), we like to look at problems in new ways, and find solutions by reaching across disciplines. The strength of our team comes not just from our individual areas of expertise - MEMS, nanotech, biotechnology, optics, microfluidics, electronics, materials, systems, data analytics – but, critically, from our ability to collaboratively come together, learn from each other and our client, and to reach beyond the usual way of doing things to create breakthroughs. Our inventions have created billions of new revenue for our clients.
Design and Prototyping
Our laboratory in the heart of Silicon Valley is geared toward projects that require multidisciplinary capabilities. A full chemistry and bio lab, electronics prototyping, optical breadboards, 3D printing, laser cutting, basic lithography, machining, optical microscopy, and data acquisition/signal processing equipment are some of the tools available on-site. For more demanding projects, we maintain active relationships with local universities, including Stanford, UC Berkeley, San Jose State University, and Santa Clara University, as well as commercial foundries and service providers, which allow us to rapidly access the best facilities for a particular project. We can support and guide both the cost-conscious client, as well as the client who requires world-class facilities and equipment.
Advanced Materials development and characterization
Novel materials are key to rapidly growing fields such as as displays, printable electronics, batteries, aerospace and automotive applications, and many others. With a strong backround in materials, ranging from development of breakthrough nanocomposites to novel electro-responsive microemulsions and nanoparticle synthesis, we have the expertise to develop and characterize new materials, or to help identify the right materials and technologies for your next generation product.
Predictive Analytics
AI is changing the way science is done. Our team keeps on top of the latest developments in data analytics, including deep neural networks and related machine learning techniques, to help you get the most from your data. We can develop custom software solutions, or integrate machine learning algorithms into your prototypes, for example increasing the usefulness of sensor data.
Biological Assays
Our consultants have decades of experience developing medical diagnostic technologies, including fluorimetric assays, nanoparticle-based detection systems, and custom sensing solutions. When combined with our prototyping and data capabilities, a strong ecosystem is created for developing novel point-of-care systems and personalized and home-based medicine.
Manufacturing Support
Our consultants have spent many years developing and troubleshooting foundry processes. We know our way around the fab, and can often very quickly identify and fix problem areas.

Training/Education
We offer custom training, educational sessions, and other guidance in our respective areas of expertise to clients. We are experienced teachers - our core team consultants have held teaching positions at Stanford University, Clemson College, San Jose State University, and University College London, and helped to develop the Electrical Engineering curriculum at Khan Academy.
